Short Break Boat Hire
Both of our short break hire boats come fully equipped and are purpose built self drive hire boats. Both are designed to accommodate 4 people in comfort.
Cheshire cat Is our entry level boat, she is 45 feet long, she is an older boat but is perfect to learn the ropes
Home James Is our luxury boat, she is 57 feet long and is the kind of boat you buy if you were looking to buy a narrowboat
The boats are equipped with everything you should need including;
- Full size cooker
- Fully equipped galley (kitchen)
- 4 Beds
- Safety equipment
- Shower
- Flush toilet
- Television
- Radio
- Bedding
- Central heating
Home james also has a solid fuel stove, and one of the beds is a fixed double.
A short Break is either Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday, two or more short breaks can be combined to make a week or more
Location
We are based on the Bridgewater Canal in Stockton Heath, just outh of warrington. With easy access to the Motorway network.

Routes
There two Main routes you can take
Manchester
You will pass through Grapenhall, Thelwall, Lymm, Outrington, Dunham Massey, Altringcham, Sale, Trafford Park, Castlefield.
Middlewich
Heading through villages of Walton, Moore, Daersbury, Preston Brook, Acton bridge, Anderton, Northwich and Middlewich.
If you are on a Midweek break, you can also add it a visit to Worsley and Leigh if heading to Manchester or Down on to the Weaver Navigation if heading to Middlewich

Training
Never driven a boat before don't worry we've got you covered!
Every hire begins with a comprehensive handover that meet industry standards
We will cover;
- Safety
- Equipment locations
- Boat handling, mooring and turning
- Emergency actions
- Maps and timings
We will then take you down the canal for some practical training.
